I indulged in breaded, fried chicken wings and beer last night then fasted from 9 p.m. last night to 3 p.m. today. It went well – I actually chatted with a coworker eating a burger and fries over lunch and didn’t feel particularly hungry. The thing I find hardest is not having the distraction of snacking when I’m mulling over a problem at work, which is interesting.

I broke my fast at 3 with a handful of walnuts then had dinner when I got home around 5:30. (Wine, leftover roast, roasted mushrooms, 85% cacao chocolate, and hot cocoa.)

Tonight, I made Mexican Zucchini and Beef to take for lunches for the rest of the week. I used 4 diced plum tomatoes and 3 diced chipotle in adobo instead of the canned Mexican style diced tomatoes.
