I had dinner at a friend’s house last night. She told me we were having peppers and sausages, so I didn’t save many carbs for it. It turned out that they were turkey maple sausages, so the carbs were rather higher than I expected and there wasn’t much fat to make them filling. I did have a bunch of mozzarella on top to make it a bit more filling.
Anyway, I didn’t eat anything before I went (so I was hungry and ate more than I might normally) and had had lots of cheese during the day, so I ended up with a rather high-carb day. It was a good reminder that when I’m eating with friends I should plan my eating to save a bunch of carbs for it. And have a low carb snack before I go.
