1 handful dried wild mushrooms (I bought them from costco)
1 onion, finely chopped
3/4 cup salted butter
pepper, red wine vinegar
Fry the onion in 1/4 cup butter.
Meanwhile, cover the mushrooms with boiling water and let them soak. After they’re tender, chop them finely and add them to the onion.
After the mushrooms are very soft, scrape them into a container. Stir in the butter. Season the butter with pepper and a few drops of red wine vinegar.
I’m planning to refrigerate this then put a spoonful on top of my barbecued steak.
