I cooked some (really delicious) pinto beans with lots of bacon fat for a chili cookoff at work and had about 1/4 cup of them with my morning eggs, avocado, and salsa. A cup of pinto beans has 45 g of carbohydrates and 15 g of fiber, so the 1/4 cup of beans had about 7 net carbs. So it should be an occasional indulgence, but it’s certainly a tasty one.
