The library bought The Ketogenic Cookbook after I requested it, so I’ve been reading it this week. A lot of the recipes look good – I might try the bacon onion rings first. Just have to pick up some bigger onions.

It has a few pages of sample menus, which I was interested to read since I assume they’re similar to the ones that Maria Emmerich sells on her web site. They’re way lower calorie than I can ever imagine eating – 1800 to 2200 for maintaining or gaining weight and 1300 to 1600 for weight loss. I imagine that if I could ever convince my appetite to let my calories get that low I’d lose weight rather quickly.
